Overall Responsibility

Responsible for providing support to HR Manager in various Human Resource functions which include recruitment of seafarers, conducting interviews, monitoring performance of hired crew, reporting to Principals and Owners and other related duties.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Recruit and fill in UMMI’s pool of crew
• Screens and conducts initial interviews to Seafarer applicants
• Conducts reference checks on possible candidates. 
• Assists in monitoring crews’ situation, Principals’ query, vessels’ updates etc.
• Responsible for daily updating of crew applicant’s status in the PDS
• Assists in the preparation and conduct of PDOS for UMMI joining crew.
• Attends to general queries of crew.
• Builds quality relationships with the Principals and seafarers.
