​​Job Purpose:

We are seeking a versatile and experienced Network/System Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including network engineering, Linux system administration, and Windows system administration. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in these areas and be capable of managing and optimizing our organization's network and systems infrastructure.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain our organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.
• Implement network changes, updates, and security measures as needed.
• Administer and maintain Linux servers, ensuring their availability, security, and performance.
• Install, configure, and manage software and services on Linux systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Linux-related issues and perform system updates.
• Administer and maintain Windows servers and Active Directory services.
• Configure and manage Windows-based software and services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Windows-related issues and apply updates.
• Enforce network and system security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and patch management.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Diagnose and resolve network and system-related issues promptly.
• Provide technical support to end-users and collaborate with other IT team members in issue resolution.
• Document network configurations, system changes, and issue resolutions.
• Assess network and system capacity and plan for scalability.
• Recommend and implement hardware and software upgrades to optimize performance.
• Ensure efficient utilization of resources.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and redundancy strategies for both network and systems.
• Implement backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical data.
• Maintain accurate network and systems documentation, including configurations, inventory, and diagrams.
• Prepare regular reports on network and system performance for management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3-5 years of proven experience in network engineering, Linux system administration, and Windows system administration.
• Has a clear understanding and can clearly follow instructions and specifications
• Skills troubleshooting computers, set-up and installation of hardware and software, basic technical documentation.
• Strong technical skills in configuring and managing network devices, Linux, and Windows environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Knowledge of industry compliance and best practices.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Linux+, MCSE) are a plus
