Established in 2014, Guang Ming College is born out of Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s confidence for the ingenuity, talents, and perseverance of the Filipinos. The College provides a humanistic, holistic, and dynamic education which is responsive to the needs of the current times. Through Life Education, its educational philosophy and pedagogy, the College focuses on the individual as a human person, whose potentials may be fully developed given a healthy learning environment, cultivating their critical faculties and creative sensibilities, and forming their character. In the end, the College envisions a harmonious community of socially responsible human beings who are proactive and engaged in nation building. The College is the fifth higher education institution under the FGS Five-in-One University Consortium, together with Fo Guang University and Nan Hua University in Taiwan, Nan Tien Institute in Australia, and University of the West in the USA.
