We are seeking a talented IT/Devops Engineer to join our growing engineering team.

Day in the Life: 

IT and Security System Administration:

• Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolution.
• Administer and support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and other end-user computing systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including system updates, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Maintain and update documentation related to IT infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
•  Provide technical support to users across the organization, addressing IT-related inquiries and issues.  
• Train employees on IT systems, applications, and security best practices.
• Provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.

DevOps:

• Manage onboarding and offboarding of developers into our development environment (AWS Infrastructure) and release processes
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the DevOps pipeline.
• Continuously measure and maintain our infrastructure cost structures to escalate when costs need attention or requires to scale
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for optimal efficiency and scalability.  
• Work closely with development teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and security of production environments.
• Proficiency with IAM with cloud infrastructure, Git and GitHub workflows
• Mentor and train other engineers throughout the company and seek to continually improve processes companywide
• Utilize scripting to automate tasks such as testing, build processes, installing software, configuring systems, managing files and directories and others as needed.

Stretch Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain a robust DevOps infrastructure, encompassing continuous integration, deployment, and delivery processes.
• Seek opportunities to increase the business value of the DevOps tool chain through research and investigation, application team input, automation options, POCs, etc.
• Proactively stays abreast of new AWS offerings and services Transform development processes for existing applications into a continuous integration, continuous delivery driven software development lifecycle

Who You Are:

• 2+ years of experience as an I.T. Specialist
• 2+ years of industry experience in DevOps
• 1+ years of experience working in Agile software engineering methods and tools: Scrum, Jira, GitHub, DevOps, and software architectures that allow rapid iterations
• Demonstrate an understanding of requirement management and roadmap development with product managers
• Have a passion for effective collaboration within and between cross-functional teams, with a history of building influence with Product and Design
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS) and architectural patterns and their trade-offs
• Experience working with globally distributed engineering teams
• Passionate to learn, understand, and dissect new technology stacks quickly on your own
• Self-motivated / Self-starter 
• Able to effectively communicate with team members in other countries (North America)
