Job description

I. Primary Function:

Equipment engineers may evaluate, inspect, maintain, design, analyze and improve various types of equipment, including electronic and mechanical equipment. These engineers can work in distinct areas, such as electrical, mechanical or computer engineering. General duties can include testing and overseeing the production of equipment, as well as performing extensive and complex repairs on existing equipment.

I. Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical assistance in installation and maintenance of company equipment.

2. Perform equipment upgrades as per customer requirements.

3. Analyze equipment malfunctions and failures and accordingly develop corrective actions.

4. Develop improvements to enhance equipment reliability and scalability.

5. Develop preventive maintenance procedures to reduce equipment failures.

6. Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements.

7. Work with Specialists to design and develop new equipment.

8. Maintain documentations for equipment installation, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures for reference purposes.

9. Provide 24×7 support for troubleshooting equipment.

10. Test and approve new equipment before handing off to production.

11. Develop cost-reduction initiatives while still maintaining quality and productivity.

12. Provide job assistance and conduct job trainings for employees as needed.

13. Act as primary contact for equipment performance related questions and concerns.
