Job Description
Purchasing Associate is responsible in the procurement and purchasing process. These includes sourcing, accreditation and evaluation of suppliers, product comparison negotiation, purchase order preparation and follow up of deliveries.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for searching of potential and alternative suppliers. This includes processing of supplier accreditation which may involve document gathering, attending meetings with approving body and site visits.
- Prepare an apple to apple comparative sheet as required by the procurement policy and procedures.
- Perform procurement and purchasing for medicines, laboratory and dialysis supplies and IT related request. Medicines include processing of emergency purchases during business hours.
Qualifications and Training requirements:
- Graduate of any 4 year business related course with at least 5-6 years of experience in procurement (sourcing) and purchasing (buying)
- Knowledge in Bizbox system is an advantage
Skills and Competencies
- Computer Literate
- Knowledgeable in using MS applications specially with Excel
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
