Job Description
Responsibilities:
Sales Generation:
- Actively promote and sell travel packages, tours, accommodations, and ancillary services to prospective customers.
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities through various channels, including phone calls, emails, social media, and in-person meetings.
- Meet or exceed sales targets set by the company by consistently closing deals and upselling additional services.
- Build and maintain a customer database to nurture relationships and generate repeat business.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide accurate information about available packages, prices, and travel options.
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process, from initial contact to post-trip follow-up.
- Assist customers in selecting the most suitable travel options based on their preferences, budget, and travel requirements.
- Address customer concerns or complaints professionally and efficiently, aiming for satisfactory resolution.
- Stay updated on travel regulations, visa requirements, and health advisories to provide informed advice to customers.
- Ensure all bookings and reservations are accurately processed and confirmations are provided to customers in a timely manner.
Product Knowledge and Research:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's travel packages, tours, destinations, and services offered.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new destinations, and travel products to provide up-to-date information to customers.
- Conduct research on travel destinations, attractions, and local customs to assist customers in planning their trips effectively.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop new travel packages or promotional offers to attract customers.
Administrative Tasks:
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and analysis for management review.
- Coordinate with suppliers, airlines, hotels, and other service providers to confirm reservations and ensure smooth travel experiences for customers.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the travel and tourism industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sales acumen with the ability to persuade and close deals.
- Knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations, visas, and travel regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- High school diploma, bachelor's degree in hospitality, tourism, or related field preferred.
