Job description

• Provide accurate interpretation services from Chinese to Filipino (and vice versa) during demonstrations, training sessions, and meetings between Chinese operators and Filipino team members
• Work closely with both Chinese operators and Filipino team members to relay questions, concerns, and feedback accurately, bridging the language gap effectively.
• Attend analytical meetings or conferences and provide interpretation support as needed.
• Possess a strong understanding of technical terminology related to machinery and equipment to effectively translate complex concepts and instructions.
• Translate complex Chinese materials, such as technical manuals, work instructions, company policies into proper English.
• Review and proofread translated Chinese materials.
• Ensure the quality of translated Chinese documents and materials

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and five years of relevant translation experience.
• Proficiency in both Chinese and Filipino languages, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong technical vocabulary in both languages, particularly related to machinery and equipment.
• Previous experience as an interpreter in technical or industrial settings is preferred.
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to adapt communication styles based on the audience.
• Excellent listening and note-taking skills.
• Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to commit to a 1-year employment/contract period; may be extended as necessary.
