JOB SUMMARY
As Marketplace Head, you will be responsible for leading the Marketplace initiative of Snapmart. This
entails implementing the project with our Marketplace provider in consideration of key decisions that you
will coordinate across various business and technical groups. You will own the business line, ensuring
that its implementation within the platform, including both on-site UX as well as the ecosystem of sellers,
aligns with Landers’s and Snapmart’s commercial strategy, drives maximum customer value and
achieves revenue targets upon initial implementation and beyond. You will manage a team that will
onboard, maintain relationships, and coordinate campaigns with Marketplace sellers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management
• Lead implementation of the Marketplace, designing its structure based on business decisionsaligned across cross-functional SEARI and Snapmart Teams
• Ensure timely launch of the Minimum Viable Product
• Expand the Marketplace beyond the MVP to maximize Mirakl’s offered features (Retail Media and others)
Marketplace Strategy
• Define categories to prioritize in consideration of target market, product gaps, and best opportunities to drive transactions and sales
• Maximize marketplace profitability by owning margins, making sure target commission rates per category are met, and costs related to running the Marketplace are managed
• Define target brands and partners most relevant to Landers’s current member base, and drive omnichannel participation of in-store only members
• Widen product offerings to attract new members
Drive Value for Customers
• Provide multiple options to customers, allowing them to choose the best product according to what’s most important for them
• Partner with the right sellers to give customers the best quality products at the best prices
• Ensure products are curated and authentic
• Facilitate quick delivery of goods and services c/o carefully selected logistics partners
Drive Value for Sellers
• Coordinate a streamlined process with Snapmart and SEARI to ensure onboarding is easy, campaigns are well-communicated and coordinated, and payments are accurate and on-time
• Provide relevant reports that will help sellers understand the value of listing, and decide on range and pricing adjustments as well as campaign participation
• Make landers.ph the marketplace of choice among sellers
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• 8-12 years of experience: expertise in online marketplace management, partnerships, business development, account management, or a related field.
• Project Management: demonstrated experience in leading and executing commercial and marketing projects, involving multiple stakeholders from concept to completion.
• Leadership: at least 5 years experience in leading medium-sized teams to accomplish new projects, and achieve marketing and/or commercial objectives.
Role-Related Skills:
• Analytical Abilities: Ability to analyze market trends, partner performance, and campaign results to influence strategic decisions.
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to learn new tech (apps and platforms) and understand high-level system integration concepts so as to effectively facilitate the implementation of the Marketplace platform. Must be able to fully appreciate what the tool(s) can do in order to harness and take advantage of its full capability.
• Negotiation Skills: Strong background in negotiating and securing beneficial deals and partnerships.
• Organization Skills: Able to devise and follow processes that ensure projects are seen to completion, and conversion of leads is maximized.
• Leadership Skills: Ability to design the right organization to achieve results. Able to formulate plans, align the team towards targets, and motivate the members to exceed them.
