Job Description

The sales executive is a motivated and customer-focused individual with a passion for the cargo industry. The sales executive will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to clients, handling inquiries, resolving issues related to cargo shipments, and ensuring smooth and efficient operations. The sales executives are responsible for prospecting, developing relationships with customers, and growing commercial and individual accounts through the promotion and selling of airline products and services (this is in the cargo industry). This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, cold call, and seek new business opportunities 
  • Develop a sales network and price structure to attain targets and increase revenue, including visits to the cargo agents.
  • Conduct regular reviews of accounts’ performance and seek additional revenue opportunities from each account
  • Identify and properly qualify new business opportunities using available resources. 
  • Provide customer support by responding to customer inquiries and requests.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, handling inquiries, complaints, and requests related to cargo shipments
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including operations and logistics, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of cargo
  • Process orders, track shipments, and update customers on the status of their cargo
  • Resolve issues and discrepancies related to shipments, including delays, damages, and missing items
  • Provide pricing information, quotes, and assistance with booking cargo shipments
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and inquiries
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote services and generate new business opportunities
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to provide the highest level of service to customers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • With at least 1 year of experience related to the job description
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and industry best practices
  • Having a solid understanding of cargo handling procedures and regulations is considered beneficial.
