The System Engineer will join our technical operations team to assist in designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our technology infrastructure securely, both on cloud and on-premise. They will be responsible for effectively provisioning, installing/configuring, operating, and maintaining systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. Additionally, they will contribute to technical research and development to foster ongoing innovation within the infrastructure, while also playing a key role in safeguarding the organization's computer networks and systems. In this capacity, the engineer will be expected to independently execute tasks under the guidance of technical operations management.

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the following:

• Assess and identify appropriate solutions to be implemented into our clients IT environment and make solution recommendations to the sales team(vCIO role)
• Completely own, execute and manage customer projects and internal initiatives.
• Understand design and implementation of core networks
• Participate in project design, estimation, and implementation
• Resolve escalated inbound hardware, software, or network technical support requests, via email, phone and web
• Document customer interaction with high attention to detail and accuracy within ConnectWise system

Qualifications

• Consulting experience or a comprehensive understanding of a consultancy role and the business/financial impact of technology decisions for our customers
• 6+ years providing IT systems administration
• Server Administration: troubleshooting servers and associated applications, installing new servers.
• Networking(Cisco/Meraki): implementing & supporting managed switches, routing & VLANs.
• Microsoft Azure and Intune
• Virtualization: Hyper-V, VMWare
• Experience and understanding of:
  • Active Directory
  • Apple OS, Android, iOS
  • Scripting in Powershell, Python, CMD, etc…
  • Windows OS system updates/Security patching
  • Veeam Backup and recovery
