Job Description

Systems Engineer provides IT Infrastructure Management and Troubleshooting technical services to x10 Networks’ clients via telephone, email and remote sessions, which may require careful examination of infrastructures and other environmental variables, as well as analysis of log files. This technical role requires analytical troubleshooting of technical problems.

Systems Engineer / Virtual Infrastructure Engineer / Systems Administrator / Cloud Engineer 


● Answer incoming customer calls and e-mails

● Provide first line of technical support

● Create support tickets

● Maintain customer records by updating account information

● Coordinate with different channels responsible for each issue/ticket

● Oversee ticket progress from creation to resolution, keeping customer informed at all times

● Must resolve issues in a timely and professional manner, ensuring quality at all times, establishing positive rapport in the process

● Work with Management Team by reporting customer support requirements, incidences, severity, resolution, and possible solutions to improve customer experience

● Coordinate with Sales Team for possible upsell or service engagement


● Strong written and oral communication skills

● Previous experience or good understanding of at least one of virtualization technologies; VMware ESX(i), Microsoft Hyper-V / Azure Stack HCI, Nutanix

● Use of administrator-level tasks with the following Windows OS: 2008(r2)/2012(r2)/2016/2019

● Understanding of Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, MS SQL, File Server

● Understanding of Office365: Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online (OneDrive), SQL Azure

● Understanding of TCP/IP (OS, firewalls configuration) and networking configuration/troubleshooting (NAT, ports, DHCP, DNS)

● Understanding of block, file, object storage and storage protocols

Following experience would be considered as a plus:

● Powershell scripting

● VMWare / VSphere

● SAN administration

● Log Analysis

● Wireshark (tcpdump)

● Application performance, bugcheck analysis (sysinternals, windbg)

● Knowledge of Linux (CentOS / Red Hat)

● Veeam Backup and Replication / Veeam ONE
